After three of the four players made the cut for the final round at the European Amateur Individual Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland it was Olivia Mehaffey who grabbed the headlines on the final day.
Mehaffey fired a superb three under par 69 on the last day to catapult up the leaderboard and break into the top 10 and her 286 total was only six shots off the winning score by Agathe Laisne of France.
Jessica Ross was the next best of the Irish on +2 for the round and +6 for the tournament which put her in a tie for 42nd. Chloe Ryan was a further shot back as she closed out with a 73, to leave her on +7 while Julie McCarthy unfortunately missed the cut which was made after the third round.
