mygolfGroup Travel, one of Ireland’s leading golf travel providers, have announced an exciting collaboration with the world’s most watched online golf personality, Rick Shiels.

Earlier this year, Rick visited Ireland and played five of the country’s top links golf courses in Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Portstewart, Ardglass, and St. Patrick’s Links at Rosapenna. Not only did Rick play five of the best courses, he also experienced the very best of Irish hospitality by staying at Slieve Donard Hotel, Curran Gate Luxury Apartments, and Rosapenna Golf Resort.

Since launching in 2011, Rick Shiels has become one of the most recognised faces in golf broadcasting, reaching a global audience daily. In 2019, Rick’s channel became the world’s most subscribed and most-watched golf YouTube channel, and in summer 2020, it was the first golf-focused channel to surpass the ‘one million subscribers’ milestone. The channel now sits on a staggering 2.85 Million followers.

Rick’s famed ‘Break 75’ series has seen him visit some of the most iconic golf courses across the United States and the UK, while his channel has also featured golf superstars such as Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Rickie Fowler, Sergio Garcia, and Ian Poulter, just to name a few.

Aside from a brief media trip to Royal Portrush ahead of The Open in 2019, this trip marks Rick’s first-time playing golf in Ireland. The collaboration is set to highlight Ireland as a premium golf destination to Rick’s extensive audience, which spans over 6 million followers across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and X. With a combined 780 million+ views on YouTube, Rick’s videos are set to be viewed by millions of golfers worldwide.
