Castletroy’s Chloe Ryan was best placed of the Irish at the Portuguese Amateur

Chloe Ryan (UCD & Castletroy) closed out her Portuguese Amateur account with her third level par round (72) of the tournament to finish in 13th place on +4.  Ryan was ten shots adrift of overall winner Letizia Bagnoli of Italy who shot 67, 73, 72, 70 for a six under par winning total, three strokes ahead of her nearest challenger.

Anabel Wilson (Lurgan) finished on +6 after a two under par closing round, leaving her in tied 18th position, while Julie McCarthy came in T29 following rounds of 73, 72, 79, 73. Valerie Clancy (Killarney) finished in T35 while Maria Dunne unfortunately missed the fourth round cut.
