Mark Cadden (Roganstown) sits on top of the men’s Bridgestone Order of Merit following last week’s opening counting event of the 2026 season, holding a 40-point advantage at the summit.

Cadden leads on 250 points after his brilliant win at the West of Ireland in Co Sligo, with beaten finalist Colm Campbell (Warrenpoint) in second place. Letterkenny’s Cian Harkin occupies third, while Alex Kerins (Carton House) is fourth.

Jonathan Keane (Lahinch) completes the top five, with Aodhagan Brady (Co Sligo) close behind in sixth. Caolan Rafferty (Dundalk) is seventh, followed by Keith Egan (Carton House). Barry Anderson (Cork) and Conor Stapleton (Westport) are tied for ninth.

The next counting event on the men’s Bridgestone Order of Merit schedule is the East of Ireland Men’s Amateur Open Championship at Co Louth, with the women’s campaign getting underway with the South of Ireland Women’s Amateur Open Championship at Lahinch later this month.
