It’s relatively quiet on the professional front this week with no Irish in the field as of yet at on the DP World Tour but barring any late call ups we can never be certain as we have learned over the last few weeks!
There is still plenty of action to look forward to as the LPGA Tour takes centre stage, the Ladies European Tour, LIV Golf and hopefully the Indian event on the HotelPlanner Tour goes ahead after last week’s staging was cancelled because of well, you know what.
PGA Tour
Séamus Power has been handed another late call up to the Valspar Championship with Matt Kuchar to round out the field from 133 to 135.
LPGA Tour
Leona Maguire and Lauren Walsh make their first US based appearance on the LPGA Tour this season at the Fortinet Founders Cup at Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club.
Maguire arrives after some encouraging signs in Asia despite not putting all four rounds together while Walsh made the cut on her debut in China a fortnight ago.
HotelPlanner Tour
Conor Purcell, Mark Power and Gary Hurley hit India for the DP World PGTI Open at Classic Golf and Country Club. It’s a season debut for Power despite winning a HotelPlanner Tour card at DP World Tour Q-School in November.
LIV Golf
Graeme McDowell and Tom McKibbin head to South Africa as LIV Golf makes its debut at The Club at Steyn City.
Ladies European Tour
Áine Donegan and Annabel Wilson hit the Gold Coast this week at the Australian WPGA Championship at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club. Both players missed the cut last week and will be looking to bounce back this time around.
Sunshine Tour
Amateur Aaron Mooney competes in the first stage of Q-School.
Sunshine Ladies Tour
Olivia Mehaffey and Canice Screene tee it up at the Platinum Ladies Open.
