Four Irish players have progressed through to the last-32 of the Spanish Ladies Amateur Championship at Sotogrande.

Emma Fleming, Aideen Walsh, Anna Dawson and Kate Lanigan all qualified while Olivia Costello missed out in a playoff after finishing alongside Lanigan and three others on seven-over.

Round two was suspended on Wednesday meaning that the cut off for the matchplay was reduced from 64 to 32. Elm Park’s Fleming was the leading Irish qualifier on two-over after rounds of 72 and 74 as she qualified in 7th place.

Lahinch’s Walsh also eased into the matchplay stages in a share of 19th place on five-over after rounds of 75 and 74.

Dawson of Tramore carded back to back 75s for a six-over total and a share of 22nd place while Lanigan survived the cut mark on plus seven with rounds of 76 and 75.

The last-32 draw sees Fleming take on Carlota Carmona Rodriguez while Walsh faces Elizabeth Wilson.

On the other side of the draw, Lanigan faces Giselle Zhao and Dawson plays Angela Revuelta Goicoechea.
