Shane Lowry heads the betting for this week’s Cognizant Classic on the PGA Tour, with BOYLE Sports installing the Irish star as 12/1 joint favourite following strong support from punters impressed by his outstanding course record in Florida.
Lowry returns to PGA National at Palm Beach, a venue where he has consistently thrived, boasting three top-five finishes and an 11th-place across his last four appearances at the challenging Florida layout.
Sharing favouritism at the top of the market is American Ryan Gerard, who finished fourth at the event in 2023 and arrives in strong recent form, ensuring a tightly contested betting market.
The European challenge is further strengthened by Danish twins Nicolai and Rasmus Hojgaard, priced at 16/1 and 18/1 respectively.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said: “Shane Lowry is proving a very popular pick this week, especially among those who follow the horses for courses angle. He seems to navigate this track better than most, so it’ll be no surprise to Irish punters if he’s at the business end of the leaderboard again.”
