Rory McIlroy is the best backed golfer with Boyle Sports as he returns to stateside action at this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

The Holywood man defends his title this week at the iconic Californian links, which hosted the first of four worldwide victories in a memorable 2025 for McIlroy, headlined by a career grand slam-sealing win at The Masters in April.

Now a Pebble Beach double is being backed at 9/1 with Boyle Sports, who rates Scottie Scheffler the 11/4 favourite to land the spoils following a hot start to the year for the World Number 1. Scheffler is already on the winners’ roster this season after bagging his 20th PGA Tour victory at the American Express in January, with the chances of another major championship being added to his CV in 2026 now rated odds-on at 4/5.

Offaly’s Shane Lowry, who made it an Irish 1-2 by finishing runner-up to McIlroy at Pebble Beach in 2025, is a 35/1 shot to go one better this time.

Brian O’Keeffe, spokesperson for Boyle Sports, said: “Scottie Scheffler has wasted no time getting into the swing of things this season, but Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry showed their love for coastal tracks with a 1-2 here last year and they’re being well backed for another Irish onslaught in the Golden State.”
