The DP World Tour has today announced that Gavin Green has received a three-month suspension for breaching the tour’s Anti-Doping regulations.
The Malaysian tested positive for a banned substance contained in a herbal supplement available in Asia, and Green had been taking the supplement to treat a medical condition.
There is no suggestion that Green, who is a former Asian Tour winner and two-time DP World Tour runner-up, was aware that the substance contained in the herbal supplement was on the prohibited list, and the DP World Tour said that Green had been fully co-operative throughout the investigation process and has accepted the suspension.
The ban, which is backdated to commence on December 5, rules Green out of DP World Tour competition until March 5, 2026.
He has also been retroactively disqualified from the 2025 Danish Golf Championship where the positive test occurred. Green finished in a share of 40th place in the event at Fureso Golf Klub back in August.
32-year-old Green has made 221 starts on the DP World Tour, making his debut in 2010, and finished 142nd in the Race to Dubai Rankings in 2025. Having failed to regain his full card via DP World Tour Q-School at the end of the year, he has Category 20 membership for the 2026 campaign.
