It’s set to be a manic Monday in the final round of the Mena Tour’s Egypt Golf Series – Address Marassi Resort as Chris Wood looks set for a shootout with Alex Maguire.

Wood has been there and done it during his career and in Maguire is someone who is looking to reach such heights of DP World Tour wins and major and Ryder Cup appearances.

Wood holds a one-shot lead over Maguire on twelve-under-par after back to back rounds of 66 while Maguire followed a course record 63 with a 70 after he staged a spirited comeback to recover from a horror start.

Teeing off with the lead, Maguire double bogeyed the first hole and followed that with a bogey at the par-5 4th.

However, the Laytown & Bettystown man rallied in style with three successive birdies on the 7th, 8th and 9th to remain in touch with Wood.

The 24-year-old was much steadier on the back nine, rolling in back to back birdies on the 14th and 15th to stay within one of the Englishman.
