Dubai has been a rich hunting ground for Matt Fitzpatrick, and the Englishman’s victory over Rory McIlroy in a playoff at Jumeirah Estates’ Earth Course was his third win in the DP World Tour’s season-ending championship.

In 2016, shortly after making his Ryder Cup debut, he earned $1.5 million for the win, but the prize money had doubled by the time he claimed win number two in 2020, and added another $3,000,000 with his hat-trick completing win in 2025.

With finishes of second in 2021, fifth in 2022, and fourth in 2015, it’s a venue that’s been exceedingly good to him, to the tune of roughly $10 million over his career, accounting for almost one-third of his entire DP World Tour earnings.

McIlroy’s consolation prize? $1,260,000 for finishing runner-up, and a $2 million bonus payment for winning his seventh Race to Dubai title. With almost $17 million in on-course earnings on the PGA Tour, plus a $7.5 million bonus for season-long performance, and almost $4 million on the DP World Tour with an additional $2 million bonus, it takes Rory’s season-long earnings over the $30 million mark.

Shane Lowry’s week didn’t quite pan out how he’d have liked, but a closing eagle added a little gloss and his T11 finish earned him $136,333, with the eagle worth approximately $30,000. Along with caddie Darren Reynolds, Lowry was heading for a Dubai Irish pub to watch the crucial World Cup qualifier against Hungary, and that extra $30,000 would’ve come in handy for the bar tab after Troy Parrott’s last-minute winner.

Tom McKibbin’s year isn’t quite finished as he heads to Riyadh for the Saudi International with an additional $102,750 in his pocket after finishing tied for 16th.

On the PGA Tour, Séamus Power added almost $150,000 to his season’s earnings after a T11 finish, but it will be scant consolation as he continues to languish outside the top 100 in the FedEx Fall Rankings and has just one chance left to secure his playing status for 2026.

Adam Schenk had made 242 starts on the PGA Tour without a win, but 243 is his lucky number and, along with securing his playing rights through 2027, Schenk earned just over $1 million.

Leona Maguire’s week was another mild consolation story. The Cavan woman did enough to secure her place in the LPGA’s season-ending CME Globe Tour Championship, so will have one last chance for a win and big prize money to boot, but she earned just over $10,000 for her efforts at the ANNIKA.

Linn Grant took the top prize of $487,500, becoming the 29th different winner in 30 LPGA events in 2025.

The PGA Tour Champions season came to a close at the Charles Schwab Championship, and though Darren Clarke and Padraig Harrington have both been in the winners’ circle in 2025, the season ended on something of a whimper for both as they shared 23rd place and each collected $27,000 for their week’s work.

Stewart Cink took first-place honours and just over half-a-million dollars in prize money, but also overtook Steven Alker at the top of the Schwab Cup rankings, collecting an additional $1 million in bonus payouts.
