It’s not quite ‘Last Chance Saloon’ for Séamus Power, but the Waterford man is in a strong position going into the weekend at the penultimate PGA Tour event of the 2025 season.

Power, who claimed his second PGA Tour victory when completing a one-stroke win in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Club back in 2022, followed his opening 69 with a three-under 68 to move to -5 overall and share 15th place after 36 holes.

On another tough and windy day in the Caribbean, Power made birdies on the 10th – his first – 16th, second and ninth holes, making his only bogey of the day on the 15th, and he’s just six back of leader Adam Hadwin who shot rounds of 65 and 66 to reach -11.

Hadwin came into the week 14 places behind Power in the rankings, sitting147th with the top 100 next week after The RSM Classic keeping their TOUR cards for next year. The 38-year-old Canadian, a PGA TOUR winner and two-time Presidents Cup player, missed the FedExCup playoffs for the first time in his tour career.

Power likely needs to finish inside the top three to climb into the top 100 going into the final event, but it’s been his performances over the weekend that have been the main contributing factor to being outside the top 100 as he’s made 14 cuts but posted just four top 25s in 2025.

But with 18 of the leading 23 players in the event all arriving at Port Royal outside the top 100, Power is far from alone in needing to bring his best over the final 36 holes.

Chandler Phillips and Braden Thornberry share second at -10, one stroke behind Hadwin, with Noah Goodwin and Max McGreevy one shot further adrift at -9.
