The first round of the Sunshine Tour’s Hyundai Open has been suspended as only half of the field managed to tee off before the claxon was sounded at 11:12am local time due to lightening in the area.
Both Liam Grehan and Rowan Lester were both due to tee off 12:30pm and 11:20am respectively but will now wait until the all clear is given.
At the time of suspension, South Africa’s Tristen Strydom leads the pack at seven-under.
