Rory McIlroy is the 5/1 favourite with BOYLE Sports to follow up his Irish Open victory with another at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth this week.
McIlroy triggered wild celebrations when he sunk an eagle putt to force a playoff at the K Club on Sunday, before seeing off Joakim Lagergren on the third extra hole to bag a second title in his home open.
Now The Masters champion is the most popular pick with punters as his Ryder Cup preparation ramps up at another course where he features on the roll of honour, having beaten Shane Lowry into second back in 2014. LIV Golf’s Jon Rahm, who is set to team up with McIlroy when Europe defend the Ryder Cup in New York, is rated his main rival at the Surrey venue as 7/1 second favourite.
Another European Ryder Cup star, Tommy Fleetwood, is 8/1 third favourite as he returns to home soil following his money-spinning Fed-Ex Cup victory on the other side of the Atlantic.
