Hugh Foley is a step closer to the DP World Tour after he eased through to the Second Stage of Qualifying School.
Foley overcame the First Stage at The Players Club at a canter with a three-over total after he closed with a final round of 71.
The top-17 and ties progressed with the Royal Dublin golfer sharing fifth place and he will take his spot in October’s Second Stage in Spain.
Foley had three shots to spare from the cut line and boring golf was the order of the day as he bogeyed the first and eleventh and carded his only birdie of the day on the par-3 16th.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a decent maiden campaign as a professional, plying his trade on the Alps Tour.
