Tyler Hogarty climbed into a share of sixth place in the penultimate round of the Clutch Pro Tour’s Imagine Cruising Masters at Cumberwell Park, spearheading the trio of Irish to make the cut.
The St Mellion-based pro carded five birdies, an eagle and just the one bogey on his way to a six-under 66 that moves him to -11 overall, five off the lead.
He’s joined in the final round by Clandeboye’s Rory Williamson, who recovered from an early double bogey to go round in 70 and move to -6 overall and into a share of 34th, and Mallow’s James Sugrue who bogeyed two of his first five holes and countered with six birdies thereafter to climb just inside the cut mark which fell at -5.
On the outside looking in were Robert Brazill, Tom Dowdall, Karl McCormack, amateur Alistair Hess, and Scott Montgomery.
At the top of the board, two-time 2025 winner and Clutch Pro Order of Merit leader Callum Farr took six more strokes in round two but still enjoys a two-stroke lead thanks to rounds of 61 and 67.
The Englishman sits on 16-under, with fellow countrymen Jake Burnage and Paul Maddy tied for second at -14. Two more Englishmen lie one further adrift at -13, with a two-shot gap back to the five-strong group that includes Hogarty at -11.
