Irish fans at Augusta National on Thursday and Friday will find it easy to closely follow both Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry’s rounds as the pair will play in consecutive groups as part of the late/early wave.

The action kicks off at 12:40 pm Irish time on Thursday with American duo David Riley and Patton Kizzire playing as a twosome, with defending champion and tournament favourite Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas and US Amateur winner Jose Luis Ballester of Spain teeing off at 3:15.

Just under three hours later, McIlroy’s latest bid for the Career Grand Slam gets underway at 6:12 in the company of last year’s runner-up Ludvig Åberg and left-handed American, Akshay Bhatia.

Following swiftly behind, Lowry plays alongside 2021 winner Hideki Matsuyama and reigning US Open champion, Bryson DeChambeau in the third-to-last grouping.
