Olivia Costello will take a seven shot lead into the final round of the Triple A Series World Final at San Roque Old Course.
Costello carded an opening round of 74 where she began with a quadruple bogey and a bogey but bounced back brilliantly to lead by the minimum, and she was ten shots better on Thursday.
A blistering bogey-free 64 saw her move to six-under-par as she looks to close out her first win of the season.
In second place is Italy’s Ottavia Franzinelli Socini Guelfi who carded a brilliant round of 66 to climb to one-over but she will need to produce something similar and hope Costello isn’t at her best on Friday.
Costello was in brilliant form on Thursday as she carded five successive threes which included three birdies in four holes on the third, fourth and sixth.
Back to back birdies on the 8th and 9th extended the Roscommon star’s lead and she hammered home her advantage with three birdies in her last five holes.
