The TGL Playoffs come to an end this week with the final series of matches between New York Golf Club and Atlanta Drive Golf Club at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the TGL finals on Monday and Tuesday, including full TGL TV coverage, teams and more.
How to watch TGL finals
In last week’s opening round of the inaugural TGL playoffs, Atlanta Drive Golf Club and New York Golf Club each pulled off huge upsets to advance to this week’s finals.
Atlanta’s Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay and Billy Horschel will now face off against New York’s lineup of Xander Schauffele, Rickie Fowler and Cameron Young for all the marbles. How many marbles exactly? The winning team will walk away with $9 million to split among their four members ($2.25 million each). The losing team will take home $4.5 million total, or $1.125 million per player.
The first-ever TGL finals will consist of a best-of-three series of matches. Atlanta and New York will face off in Match 1 on Monday, March 24, at 9 p.m. in the United States, meaning 2am here and will be broadcast once again on Sky Sports.
Then on Tuesday, March 25, the teams will meet again for Match 2 at 7 p.m (11 p.m.) If they split the first two matches, then a third match will be played Tuesday at 9 p.m. (1 a.m.) to determine the champion.
The format for each finals match will be the same as the regular season matches. The teams compete on a nine-hole simulator course in triples, and then alternate appearing in one-hole singles matches. Short game shots and putting will happen live around the stadium’s high-tech green. Each team will begin the match with three Hammers that can be used at any time.
