The Irish Women’s Amateur champion carded four birdies, one bogey, an eagle and a double bogey.
Meanwhile at Noria Golf Club the top-24 and ties advance to the Final Stage next week and Olivia Mehaffey is in a good position to advance after an opening round of 71 left her in a share of seventh place on one-under.
Also at Noria is amateur Canice Screene who is just about inside the cut mark in a share of eighteenth place while Abigail O’Riordan is on the outside looking in at 30th position.
Castlerock’s Annabel Wilson made a promising start in Samanah with a one-over 73 that also included an eagle and she lies in tenth place with the top-23 and ties progressing.
At Rotana, Kanturk amateur Mairead Martin and Olivia Hunt are both in a share of 55th place and have work to do to climb into the top-23 and ties.
The pre-qualifier is played across 54-holes on four courses with the top-23 and top-24 and ties joining Sara Byrne at Final Qualifying next week.
