Hamish Brown and Conor Purcell each notched their second wins of the 2024 Road to Mallorca during back-to-back weeks in China, to close the gap at the top of the season-long Road to Mallorca Rankings with one event remaining.
Brown from Denmark registered his first win of the season back in June, in the Kaskada Golf Challenge, with a second triumph in the Hangzhou Open two weeks ago catapulting him into third place in the Rankings.
The 25-year-old has registered 1,395 points so far this term and is within touching distance of the Number One spot with just the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by The R&A to go.
Irishman Purcell is also within striking distance after he racked up win number two in China, doing so by four strokes in the Hainan Open to climb eight places to fourth in the Rankings on 1,271 points.
John Parry remains the man to catch though. The Englishman made sure of automatic promotion to the DP World Tour by winning three-times during the season, with his third coming in the Italian Challenge Open in September.
Those wins, coupled with five other top ten finishes see him sit in pole position on 1,512 points, narrowly ahead of fellow three-time winner this season, Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen from Denmark who has 1,466 points.
Oliver Lindell from Finland rounds out the top five on 1,257 points following a sensational run of results during the business end of the season.
The 26-year-old has recorded top ten finishes in each of his last seven starts in an outstanding run of form that has all-but guaranteed his promotion to golf’s Global Tour.
Spaniard Angel Ayora sits sixth in the Rankings on 1,127 points, with the exciting 20-year-old recording a win and five other top tens – including a tied second last week in China – in his first full season as a professional.
Joakim Lagergren from Sweden is seventh, 24 points behind Ayora, and looks set to bounce back to the DP World Tour at the earliest opportunity thanks to two victories so far this season.
Englishman Jack Senior, who began the year relying on invites, has played his way into a strong position with one event remaining. A tied second place finish in the Hangzhou Open last week was his seventh top ten of the season, as he sits eighth in the Rankings on 971 points.
Two-time winner Joel Moscatel from Spain has 958 points and occupies the Number Nine spot, one place ahead of Robin Williams (884 points) from South Africa who completes the top ten.
There are places inside the top 20 for four Frenchmen, with five-time DP World Tour winner Alexander Levy in 12th place, followed by Benjamin Hebert (13), Pierre Pineau (18) and Martin Couvra (19).
As it stands, two-time DP World Tour winner, Lucas Bjerregaard from Denmark occupies the 20th and final promotion place.
