Anna Foster’s professional career is up and running after she earned her first win at the 25th Maryland Women’s Open.
Foster carded round of 75 and 69 to finish top of the pile on level-par, two shots clear of Women’s Amateur champion Melanie Greene at Woodmont Country Club.
The Elm Park golfer ended the tournament with the low round of the week (69) including a sensational finish where she birdied her last two holes to take the title and a $3,000 paycheque.
After a birdie at the third, Foster was under the cosh after a double bogey on the 4th but she responded in emphatic style with back to back birdies.
After a dropped shot on 9, Foster powered home in 33 with birdies on 11, 17 and 18.
