Gordon Smyth, Head European Coach of the world renowned ‘Raflewski Golf’ which is based at PGA National Ireland – Slieve Russell has been awarded the prestigious ‘2024 Coach of the Year’ by the Irish Golfer Magazine panel.

Smyth’s stock in the game has been on the rise since teaming up with short game guru Gareth Raflewski back in 2019. A regular now on the LPGA tour with some of the world’s best players, Smyth has a number of Irelands best professionals & top Amateurs also on his books.

Speaking on the Award..’ I am honoured to be named Ireland’s coach of the year, we have a great reputation in golf with some of the world’s best coaches coming from Ireland, I would be nothing without the players and like to thank them for putting their trust in me.’’

With the coaching business booming and further investment in the Raflewski Academy at PGA National Slieve Russell incoming you wouldn’t bet on Smyth retaining this title for many years to come.
