Liam Power and Stephen Barry couldn’t be separated after a glorious two days at the Connemara Pro-Am.
Both players finished tied for the lead on six-under-par, one shot clear of Paul Eivers and Neil O’Briain.
Power carded rounds of 70 and 68 while Barry held on to his share of top spot after following a day one 67 with a second round of 71.
Rathfarnham’s Power played the course from back to front and three birdies in a row either side of the turn on 17, 18 and 1 propelled him into the mix for his second win of the season and a birdie on the par-5 7th completed a superb closing eleven holes.
Barry of Millicent wasn’t to be outdone and overcame a rocky start to cling on to a share of the spoils.
Barry was two over after three holes but bounced back with birdies on 4 and 5 before a bogey on the 7th and 10th put him out of the lead.
He responded brilliantly, with birdies on 12, 14 and 17 to climb back alongside Power and that’s where they finished.
