From eight-over after fourteen holes to just three behind heading into the final round, Max Kennedy has produced a stunning fightback at the Sea Best Invitational.
The Louisville man was having a nightmare on Monday morning, carding five bogeys and two doubles with one birdie mixed into his first fourteen holes which left him languishing towards the foot of the leaderboard on +8 before three birdies in his last four holes gave him some momentum heading into the afternoon.
He took full advantage, shooting a bogey-free round of 65, ten shots better than his morning effort to climb a whopping forty places into fifth place on level-par.
He trails Florida’s Ian Gilligan by three shots while he has also dragged Louisville into third place and firmly in the hunt in the team competition.
