Rory McIlroy is part of a five-player list for PGA Tour Player of the Year with Open champion Brian Harman omitted from the Jack Nicklaus Award shortlist.
Alongside McIlroy are US Open champion Wyndham Clark, Masters champion Jon Rahm, FedEx Cup champion Viktor Hovland and Players champion and world number one Scottie Scheffler.
McIlroy picked up two wins in 18 PGA Tour starts at the CJ Cup and the Genesis Scottish Open en route to a 4th place finish in the FedEx Cup.
The Holywood man was second in scoring average (68.777) and recorded 13 top-10 finishes including a second place at the US Open and made 16 cuts in his 18 starts.
Swedish Ryder Cup star Ludvig Åberg has been nominated for the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year (Arnold Palmer Award) having only joined the PGA Tour in June of this year.
After topping the PGA Tour University rankings in the summer he made his professional debut at the RBC Canadian Open before winning the RSM Classic in just his 13th start which also included four top-10s and ten cuts in eleven starts as a professional.
Joining Åberg are Horizon Irish Open champion Vincent Norrman, also a Swede (25) as well as Colombian Nico Echavarria and Eric Cole.
The Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards are determined by a member vote, with PGA TOUR members who played in at least 15 official FedExCup events during the 2022-23 season eligible to vote. The voting will close on Friday, Dec. 15, at 5 p.m. ET. The winners will be announced in January at The Sentry, the first event of the 2024 FedExCup season as the PGA TOUR returns to a calendar-year schedule.
