Olivia Costello shares the opening round lead at the Scottish Girls Championship with England’s Zara Ali in Longniddry.
The Roscommon teenager carded a two-under 71 to claim a share of a one-shot lead.
Costello recovered from an opening double bogey with three birdies and a dropped shot on five to turn in level-par.
Her third birdie in four holes on the tenth took her into the red for the day before a second bogey of the round dropped her back to par.
The Irish international finished with a flourish picking up shots on the par fives 14 and 18 to grab a share of the overnight lead.
Roisin Scanlon is in a share of 42nd place on five-over while Gemma McKeekin is a shot further back with the top-60 making the final round cut after 36 holes.
