The Play in Pink team are delighted to announce their Photo Competition winners from 2022 with Hermitage Golf Club capturing the winning image as part of another hugely successful season.
Hermitage edged out some brilliant contenders with Loughrea Golf Club, Blessington Lakes Golf Club and Kirkistown Castle taking the runner-up spots while Royal Malta Golf Club were the overseas winners.
The Play in Pink initiative raised a staggering €447,000 as part of a record breaking year in 2021, helping to fight a disease close to so many of our hearts. There were 197 Play in Pink Days raising vital funds for the National Breast Cancer Research Institute at University of Galway.
Two overseas clubs took part – The Royal Malta Golf Club in Malta and the Crow Nest Park Golf Club in the UK – as the flamingo pink campaign continues to spread its wings in the name of Breast Cancer Research.
The Play in Pink is a fun golf fundraising competition run in multiple golf clubs across Ireland. It is the key fundraising campaign for the NBCRI and is instrumental in funding the work of the organisation which is based at the Lambe Institute.
Forty clubs have already registered for Play in Pink Days in 2023.
