Sean Keeling third in Portuguese Amateur

Sean Keeling continued his excellent form with a third place finish at the Portuguese Amateur Championship at Montado Golf Resort.

The Roganstown talent arrived following back-to-back victories at the Hacienda de Alamo Masters and the Roda Open and rounds of 69, 69, 69 and 73 saw him claim a podium place on eight-under-par.

Keeling finished eight shots adrift of eventual winner Ángel Ayora Fanegas who breezed to a a six-shot victory.

Douglas native Jack Murphy was the only other Irishman to make the halfway cut and he finished in 34th place on five-over after rounds of 69, 72, 73 and 79.
