Opportunity knocks for one of the world’s most competitive and enjoyable amateur competitions with qualifying venues across Ireland confirmed for this year’s International King’s Cup.
The three-day tournament sees Ireland face-off against America in a Ryder Cup style format with the event, played in honour of Arnold Palmer, returning to Glasson Lakehouse from June 21-23.
It’s a pairs event like no other and is unique in that there are four flights of handicap and within each flight, two teams will qualify under two age brackets 18+ and Seniors 55+. Each pair must have no more than 8 shots between their handicaps. Total each other’s handicap to find out what category (flight) you fall into.
The event is open to any two-person team with a verifiable Golf Ireland Handicap and is unique as each flight has an Open Age Category and a Senior Category within each flight, and there are 4 Flights.
So whether you are a scratch golfer or a 20 handicap golfer, you have equal opportunity to qualify to represent Team Ireland.
