Roganstown’s Sean Keeling has it all to play for at the latest Toro Tour event at Azata Golf where he sits just three shots off the lead in the amateur competition.

The talented Dubliner added a five-over par 76 to his opening even par effort but dug deep to play his back nine in one-under par on Tuesday, leaving him in touch of the lead and in outright third spot at five-over.

Keeling has fired an impressive 10 birdies over the first two days and will hope to keep the mistakes to a minimum during Wednesday’s final round as he looks to pile the pressure on Frenchman Gregoire Hoyeau who leads the way at plus-two.

Keeling has outshone Irish international Hugh Foley so far this week; the Royal Dublin star adding a 76 to his opening 77 to sit in a tie for 7th at 11-over. Foley has carded six birdies over the first two days but far too many mistakes as he continues to shake the cobwebs off ahead of another busy amateur campaign.
