Golf Ireland has warmly welcomed news that golf will be one of the first sports to resume under Step 2 of the Northern Ireland Executive’s reopening pathway to begin on April 1st.

Golf Ireland has been engaging with the NI Executive, Department of Communities and Sport NI and will now continue this communication in order to finalise the Return to Golf Protocol document which will demonstrate an incremental approach to reopening. This Protocol will be circulated to Clubs in the coming days and Golf Ireland seeks the support of clubs in the strict implementation of these documents to ensure a safe return for all.

Golf Ireland are also continuing to engage intensively with the Irish Government, highlighting the safety and health benefits of golf and working towards the resumption of golf as soon as the public health situation allows.
