Srixon’s new Q-Star Tour golf balls are not only faster and softer than the previous generation, but they’re also smarter. The latest iteration features a new, thin, premium urethane cover made with Biomass, which Srixon says helps reduce carbon emissions during production without sacrificing performance. The same cover material is used on the Z-Star lineup.

The Q-Star Tour series is all about delivering tour-level spin and control, especially around the greens, but in a lower compression design that better fits a wide range of swing speeds. It gives golfers the performance they want from tee to green without needing tour-level swing speed to unlock it.

“We’ve already seen the impact this new material has had with our Z-STAR Series. Our tour team delivered the best year in the brand’s history last season. Incorporating Biomass into the Q-STAR TOUR was a natural next step. It reflects our commitment to innovation and our belief that each generation of product should raise the bar in performance,” said Joe Miller, European Product Manager.

Biomass is a plant-based material that can replace petroleum-based materials in urethane to create a cover indistinguishable from one made with fossil fuels. The new Q-Star Tour also has a new FastLayer core that progressively gets firmer from the centre outward. This helps produce longer, straighter shots with low-lofted clubs while retaining a soft, responsive feel with the irons and wedges.

The result is what Srixon calls its softest Tour-level golf ball. Q-Star Tour also features a Spin Skin+ coating that helps dig deep into a club’s grooves for maximum friction. Lastly, the ball has a 338 Speed Dimple Pattern, which is optimised to reduce drag and create a penetrating ball flight for maximum distance.

Updated Visuals with Divide
New for this generation, every Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE now features the same urethane cover and performance technologies as the classic Q-STAR TOUR. Its glossy 50/50 urethane cover, combined with the addition of Spin Skin+ coating, provides the greenside spin, feel, and control players expect from a tour-level golf ball. Around the greens, players benefit from Q-STAR TOUR DIVIDE’s spinning strobe effect, making it a precise tool for fine-tuning the short game. Plus, a full 360° seam line simplifies putting setup, guiding players to perfect their line and roll on the greens. And with the latest innovations plus the bold new Divide colour options, it’s a ball that not only performs at a high level but stands out while doing it.Price and Availability
Srixon’s new Q-Star Tour golf balls are available now and come in either white or four dual-colour Divide options (White/Lime Green, White/Pink, Yellow/Red, and Yellow/Orange). They have an RRP of €42.00.
