Following another amazing season in 2024 the Irish Golfer Events Series is back for 2025 with some new venues and new look prizes.
The preliminary schedule now live HERE and there will be more events added in the coming weeks. New for 2025 is our opening event which takes place at Killeen Castle, venue for the Irish Challenge in 2025 and we have kept many of your old favourites including Powerscourt, K Club, Dromoland Castle, Slieve Russell and Tralee. Watch this space for new venue announcements as they come through.
All-in-all this year’s series will be 18 events before the Grand Final where 14 of them are currently live and available to book right now. Each stop will come with all the usual Irish Golfer trimmings including €5,000 worth of prizes up for grabs at each event, as well as first tee announcements, a welcome gift, nutritional snacks, drinks and branded tees and pencils.
As always we’ve gone right to the top for the prizes and this year’s prizes are headlined by the new TaylorMade Qi35 family of clubs covering our usual three categories (Men up to 11 Playing Handicap, Men 12-24 Playing Handicap and Ladies up to 36 Playing Handicap). There’s also the added bonus of Nearest the Pin competitions sure to test your wits.
iGolfers are eligible to participate although they are not included in the main category prizes. They can participate in the competition for handicap purposes and if there are 5 or more iGolfers in the field there will be a specific iGolf prize at that event.
As ever, competitions are singles stableford and are open to all players with a Golf Ireland handicap index. With 12 guaranteed prize winners sharing over €5,000 worth of prizes at each event, don’t miss your chance to be part of Ireland’s largest amateur golf series. The three category winners from each event will also qualify for the Grand Final where we will crown our Irish Golfer Champion for 2025.
And if you don’t qualify for the Grand Final as one of the category winners from the events automatically, you can still qualify through the FLOGAS Order of Merit. Your best five scores across the year will be counted and the Top 25 players not already qualified for the Grand Final will win a place at the Grand Final 2024.
In a slight change to our usual proceedings the FLOGAS Order of Merit will decide the Grand Champion for 2025, with the Grand Final event scores added to your qualifying Order of Merit tally, so consistency and ability across the season will be rewarded!
