Wilson Golf may catch more headlines for their irons rather than their drivers but with the launch of DYNAPWR in 2023 they started to make serious noise.  For 2025 Wilson has made a huge leap with the launch of its updated DynaPWR driver franchise with the introduction of three innovative models, designed to meet the needs of every type of golfer.

The DynaPWR LS, DynaPWR Carbon and DynaPWR Max are fully adjustable, with each head incorporating a six-way adjustable hosel and interchangeable weights, empowering golfers to fine- tune spin and launch conditions for optimal performance.

In addition to prioritising performance, Wilson has used advanced Topology Optimisation to refine the acoustic engineering of the clubheads. After thousands of simulations, the brand has precisely crafted the sound for each driver, ensuring an ideal auditory experience, regardless of strike location.

Below is an outline of what you can expect performance wise from each head.

The DynaPWR LS driver is the most compact driver in the lineup at 445cc, designed as a fade-biased driver to help better players eliminate the left side of the golf course. The shaping of the LS was refined with a raised skirt and a curved crown to make the clubhead more aerodynamic, allowing faster clubhead speeds. Like all the other drivers in the DynaPWR family, the LS features a 6-way adjustable hosel, but unique to the LS and Carbon models are front and back adjustable weights to dial in launch and spin. The LS has the heaviest movable weights (6g and 12g standard) allowing for the greatest CG movement. The LS will come as stock with aTrue Temper Denali Black 60 shaft in S (65g) and X (69g). It will come in 8° (RH), 9° (RH/LH) and 10.5° (RH) loft options

Featuring a lowered crown and a flatter sole, the DynaPWR Carbon is designed for golfers seeking the ideal balance of workability and forgiveness. This model should fit the greatest number of golfers out of the three head options. The shape was designed in consultation with Wilson’s Tour staff to give the driver a more compact look while boosting forgiveness. The Carbon also has swappable front (3g) and back weights (9g) weights, similar to the LS. The Carbon model will feature stock Fujikura Ventus TR Blue and UST Helium NCT 4 Lightweight shafts in R (55g), S (56g) and LITE (40g) flexes. It will be available in 8° (RH), 9° (RH/LH), 5° (RH/LH) and 10.5° LITE (RH) loft options.

With an all-titanium design, the DynaPWR Max features a larger footprint, enhancing stability on every shot. The DynaPWR Max driver is ideal for those seeking maximum forgiveness of the three head options. The larger footprint to increase MOI and a 19g rear flippable weight to fine-tune the left-to-right bias of the club make this so easy to hit. The Max will feature a stock UST LIN-Q M40 Red 5/6 and UST Helium NCT 4 Lightweight shafts in A (57g), R (57g), S (58g) and LITE (40g) flexes. It will be available in 9° (RH/LH), 5° (RH/LH), 12.0° (RH) and 12.0° LITE (RH) loft options.

In each of the three new models Wilson have used AI to create PKR-360, which increased the number of optimisable face and body locations unique to each driver’s design. This results in a larger sweet spot and faster ball speeds across the face of each driver.

Also contributing to a larger sweet speed is a new Open Hosel construction, which strips away material from the heel side of the face, allowing the face to flex more.

“We have been on a relentless pursuit to design a driver family that suits the largest range of golfers, and these new models are by far the most advanced drivers Wilson has ever produced,” said Jon Pergande, Director, Global R&D and Product. “We’ve listened to feedback from tour staff, top amateur and mid to single handicap golfers and we’re confident that the legendary DynaPWR franchise is entering a new formidable era. “Along with the drivers’ visual appeal, adjustability and sound were key priorities for us in the early stages of design. We experimented with multiple designs and optimised performance by removing inefficient material from the hosel structure to save weight and free up the heel side of the face. This adjustment allowed the face to flex more, resulting in a larger sweet spot, increased ball speeds, and greater forgiveness.

“For the sound, we tested up to 40 optimised parameters across the face and surrounding geometries, using more than 2,000 face designs per driver model. This process is equivalent to creating 2,000 tools in order to balance mass properties, structural design, and sound. The result, we believe, is the best-sounding drivers Wilson has ever made,” he added.

If you have not been tempted to try a Wilson driver in the past this needs to change in 2025.  This lineup has serious shelf appeal, it looks and performs like nothing Wilson have ever made before. I have a feeling the DynaPWR lineup will be a very popular driver option this season. It performs as well as anything we have tested this season and aesthetically it looks as good as anything too.

DynaPWR drivers will be available starting Feb. 12th with the DynaPWR LS and Carbon drivers having an RRP of €549 while the DynaPWR Max will go for €499.
