Fujikura, one of the leaders in performance golf shafts, was honoured to be the number one driver shaft at the Tour Championship this past weekend. As the 2021/22 PGA Tour number one driver and wood shaft for the season, Rory McIlroy’s victory at East Lake and number one spot at this year’s final event completes an incredible year for Fujikura, their most successful season on tour to date.
On the PGA Tour at the Tour Championship, Fujikura was once again the #1 driver shaft at the event, with 34.5% of the field using Fujikura driver shafts throughout the week. In the wood shaft count, Fujikura had 28.2% of the field using their wood shafts, helping Fujikura to finish the PGA Tour season as the number one driver and wood shaft for the year.
The eventual winner, McIlroy was included in these figures, claiming his Tour Championship win and 2022 Season Champion status with a Fujikura driver and wood shaft in the bag. On his way to a 3rd PGA Tour victory this season, McIlroy used the VENTUS Black 6X in his driver shaft and the VENTUS Black 9X in his 5-wood.
Used in the driver shafts of 23 different PGA Tour champions, the completion of this PGA Tour season rounds off a historic season on tour for Fujikura. With multiple global wins this year, including Major championships and international titles, the latest VENTUS range has been a dramatic success on tour for 2022. These accolades are highlighted in the bags of the current top three golfers in the world, with each player using VENTUS driver and wood shafts throughout the majority of their victorious PGA Tour seasons.
