With the Elyte fairway woods, Callaway focused on fixing the two main pain points for everyday golfers, consistency and turf interaction. Callaway took a hard look at fairway wood performance and decided to make some serious upgrades for 2025. The Elyte fairway woods feature a redesigned face, an internal tungsten weight for added stability and a fresh sole design all which help you hit more solid shots.

Callaway engineers started with an internal 35-gram tungsten bar that sits just behind the face, a feature they call a “Tungsten Speed Wave.” This internal weight runs from toe to heel, lowering the centre of gravity and adding mass right behind the ball. That delivers better ball speed and distance, even if you catch the ball a little low on the face – a common miss for amateurs.

As introduced in the Elyte drivers, Callaway also used Ai to craft an all-new face, fine-tuning it to flex efficiently across a larger hitting area. With 10 times more control points, the AI10X Face promises more consistent speed across the clubface, so even off-centre hits have a better chance of flying like they’re supposed to.

All of the models feature the company’s new Step Sole design that comes from studying the success of the Callaway Apex UW line. The idea was to help golfers strike the ball more consistently in the centre of the face and to help them avoid striking the ball low on the face. With Step Sole, Callaway says, 57 percent of the sole area has been moved down, minimising turf interaction to help the golfers strike the ball more cleanly in the centre of the club. Essentially, it acts as a launch pad that just allows you to feel like you can get more club under that ball and hit it more centre on the face.

With its Elyte fairway woods, Callaway is initially launching three new models. The outlier is the Elyte Ti fairway wood which will follow in February. The Ti  wasn’t intended for launch, but Callaway CEO Chip Brewer played with the prototype and liked it so much that he said, “We’re launching it.” Below is what you can expect from each head option.

Elyte Fairways : The all-around option, this version is neutral in shot bias, so it won’t push you into a slice or a draw. Think of it as the “people’s fairway wood” – fast, forgiving and aimed at a wide range of players looking for consistent distance. This will be available in 3-wood, 3HL, 5-wood, 7-wood, 9-wood and 11-wood. RRP of €429

Elyte X Fairways : The Elyte X is all about forgiveness and stability, with a shot bias favouring the draw. Ideal if you’re one of those golfers who cringes at the sight of a slice. With a design that boosts the moment of inertia, it’s also a great option for a little extra stability off the tee. The Elyte X will come in 3-wood, 3HL, 5-wood and 7-wood. RRP of €429

Elyte Triple Diamond : Built for the big hitters, this low-spin option is designed for golfers with powerful swings that tend to create too much spin. The Triple Diamond has the lowest launch and spin profile in the lineup, making it an excellent choice for players looking to bring down their ball flight. Elyte TD will come in 3-wood, 5-wood, 7-wood options. RRP of €449

Elyte Ti : With a titanium face and chassis, the Elyte Ti is the premium player here, equipped with two movable sole weights for ultimate customisation. Fitters and players can dial in launch angle and spin rate, making it a versatile option for those who like to fine-tune their gear. Elyte Ti will come in 3-wood, 3HL and 5-wood options. Not available until late Feb.
