Lucas Glover finished in a share of third place at last week’s Black Desert Championship on the PGA Tour, pocketing $442,500 for his troubles and moving up nine places in the FedEx Cup standings.

Does he know what any of this means? No, not a clue.

The former US Open champion is now 61st in the FedEx Cup fall series with players ranked from 51st to 60 on the points list at the end of the RSM Classic next month earning spots in Signature Events at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and Genesis Invitational in 2025.

Glover has previously spoken against the new FedEx Cup format and two years further down the line he is none the wiser as to how it all works.

“I still don’t know how any of this works.

“I’m here because I didn’t play good [in] the regular part of the year.

“I think I got three or four weeks off now and [I will] show back up in Bermuda.”

He added: “All the math and… I don’t know, you need to be a Nobel math scholar to figure it all out.”

Since the arrival of LIV Golf, Glover has been very outspoken on the direction the PGA Tour is heading.

Although a barnstorming end to his 2023 season secured his spot in the Signature Events last season, he is still against the idea of them, labelling the limited field events as a “money grab.”

The eight FedEx Cup fall events allows golfers that have already established their playing rights to vie for spots in the bumper prize purse signature events.

Seamus Power is currently 52nd in the FedEx Cup fall rankings and is in a very good position to play his way into Pebble Beach and the Genesis next year and potentially break back into the top-100 on the Official World Golf Rankings.
