A fortnight ago an Irish quartet saw their DP World Tour Q-School dreams dashed after their First Stage was reduced to just 36 holes after poor weather. This week it might work in favour of the Irish.

First Stage at Horsens Golfklub in Denmark has been cut to 54 holes after there was no play at all on Thursday or Friday with the qualifier scheduled to go into an extra day on Saturday.

Liam Nolan of Galway continues to co-lead proceedings on eight-under-par after rounds of 67 and 65 while Royal Dublin amateur Max Kennedy is tucked just behind him at five-under and in a share of tenth place.

Kilkenny professional Mark Power shares twelfth place on four-under while David Kitt will need something special to break into the top-18 and ties from 43rd place on two-over.

Meanwhile, in France, Ronan Mullarney is well placed heading into the final round in Golf de Lery Poses on five-under-par.

Mullarney shares 17th place with the top-21 and ties progressing to the Second Stage.

K Club’s Conor O’Rourke is a shot further back.
