Kirkistown Castle’s Beth Coulter sits tied for 19th after a second-round, three-under 69 saw the Arizona State Sun Devil climb up the leaderboard at Messila Golf in Finland.

Coulter is joined in round three by Aine Donegan, Emma Fleming, Annabel Wilson, Kate Lanigan and Anna Foster, all of whom made the top-96 and ties cut.

Five birdies and two bogeys helped Coulter to make amends for her disappointing opening round of +2, and she heads to the third round six shots back of the leading trio of Italy’s Carolina Malgrati, Marie Eline Madsen from Denamark and Andrea Revuelta of Spain.

Donegan is next best in 55th place at +3, with Fleming and Wilson locked in a tie for 78th at +5.

Lanigan was one of many who struggled in the afternoon wave, but her second round of +5 saw her finish the day at +6 overall, while Foster made the cut on the number at +7.

Sadly, Aideen Walsh and Anna Dawson found themselves the wrong side of the cut mark and will instead cheer on from the sidelines on day three.
