After an exciting few months of amateur golf, the Ireland Team set to contest this year’s International King’s Cup on U.S. soil has been announced after a magnificent national qualifier at Malone Golf Club.

The National Qualifier for Ireland’s fastest growing amateur golf event played in honour of golf’s greatest ambassador, Mr Arnold Palmer had an exciting finish as golfers from four provincial qualifiers battled it out on the fairways.

Team Ireland will travel to Orlando Florida in May to stay at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge & play against Team USA after a raft of people took their chance at qualifiers at Roganstown Hotel & Country Club, Westport Golf Club, Castlerock Golf Club & Ennis Golf Club prior to the national finals at Malone.

And after some thrilling play, the golf clubs represented on Team Ireland this year will be Warrenpoint Golf Club, Blackwood Golf Club, Donegal Golf Club, Murvagh, Cloverhill Golf Club, Castlehume Golf Club, Narin & Portnoo Links, Down Royal Golf Course, Rockmount Golf Club and Ballykisteen Golf Resort & Hotel.

This will be the first year the event will be televised and it will be broadcast to 6 million homes in the USA and 11 million in the UK. It will be a recorded show and the dates of broadcast will be made available ASAP to ensure you all get the chance to tune in.

Congratulations to all the qualifiers and best of luck to our 16-player flight set for May 19th for the King’s Cup itself.
