Guess who’s back… again?
Tiger Woods will make his first competitive start since the Masters at the Hero World Challenge from November 30 to December 3.
The fifteen-time major champion has not played competitively since withdrawing during the Masters in April before ankle surgery ruled him out of the final three majors of this season.
Woods hosts the tournament at Albany, Bahamas and he will be joined by fellow exemptions Justin Rose and Lucas Glover as the final field of 20 players was finalised.
Speaking earlier this month Woods explained that he was pain free in his ankle but was still struggling with other injuries to his body.

Woods said: “My ankle is fine. Where they fused my ankle, I have absolutely zero issue whatsoever. That pain is completely gone. It’s the other areas that have been compensated for.”
He compared the problem to when he had fusion surgery on his lower back, saying: “All the surrounding areas is where I had all my problems and still do. You fix one, others have to become more hypermobile to get around it, and it can lead to issues.”
Woods has struggled with his fitness since a serious car accident in February 2021 and has completed 72 holes just twice in the five tournaments he has competed in.
The 47-year-old admitted last year that he would play a reduced schedule going forward but he is set to appear in the new tech-infused TGL which begins in January where he will represent Jupiter.
