The only player to play in all five matches in the Solheim Cup at Inverness, Toledo back in 2021, Leona Maguire is set to be an ever-present again after being named to lead Europe out in the afternoon fourball session.
Emily Pedersen and Linn Grant will also go the distance, but each of the Americans will have rested for at least one session by the time the final day’s singles gets underway.
Maguire will partner Charley Hull in the opening match and she’ll get the opportunity to avenge her Friday foursomes defeat to Nelly Korda with the world number three joining Ally Ewing.
Surprisingly, Anna Nordqvist has again been selected and she joins Caroline Hedwall in teeing it up against Cheyenne Knight and Angel Yin. Hedwall will be playing her first match, whilst Nordqvist has been average at best in losing foursomes efforts alongside Maguire, and both Yin and Knight are fresh having sat out the morning session.
In match #3, Pedersen is teamed with Madelene Sagstrom against Rose Zhang and Andrea Lee, and the final match features Carlotta Ciganda and Linn Grant, who ran out convincing winners on Friday, taking on Danielle Kang and Lilia Vu.
Despite a valiant performance in gaining a halve in yesterday’s fourball matches, Scotland’s Gemma Dryburgh doesn’t get the opportunity to go again.
