Some of the DP World Tour’s brightest young talents are set for the Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo, which returns to The Belfry from June 27–July 2.

Rasmus Højgaard, Adrian Meronk and Min Woo Lee already boast eight DP World Tour titles between them, and will all tee it up at the Sutton Coldfield venue later this month.

Fans are urged to purchase their tickets in advance with more than 50,000 spectators lining the fairways during the 2022 edition of the popular tournament, including a sold-out 15,000 crowd on Sunday. To purchase tickets click here.

Meronk has made history in world golf since earning his place on the DP World Tour for the 2022 season, becoming the first member of the Tour from Poland, the first winner from his nation and also the first Pole to play in all four Major Championships.

The 29-year-old has won three national opens, the Horizon Irish Open, ISPS HANDA Australian Open and DS Automobiles Italian Open, in the space of just ten months and is currently fourth on the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex.

Meronk said: “I have a bit of a score to settle with The Belfry after the last couple of years. I missed out on the play-off by one shot in 2021 and missed the cut last year, so I’m looking to make amends this time around. I always enjoy playing in England and the crowds last year were fantastic.”

Denmark’s Højgaard is returning to a venue where he has previously tasted success. The 22-year-old burst on to the scene during the 2020 season as he won twice in his rookie year, with his second victory coming during the summer at The Belfry at the ISPS HANDA UK Championship.

The youngster defeated Justin Walters in a play-off on the Brabazon Course, and then went on to win his third DP World Tour title the following year at the Omega European Masters.

“I’m excited to get back to The Belfry this summer,” said Højgaard. “It’s always nice going back to a venue where you’ve played well in the past. There were some great crowds supporting us last year, so I’m looking forward to another good week.”

In 2020, Lee also won his maiden DP World Tour title at the ISPS HANDA Vic Open and then, in 2021, went on to claim his first Rolex Series title in Scotland.

Lee finished third at his home ISPS HANDA Australian Open in December, and was runner-up at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, the first Rolex Series event of the season. He also finished in a share of sixth at The PLAYERS Championship on the PGA TOUR and tied for 18th at the US PGA Championship a fortnight ago.

“The Brabazon Course at The Belfry is a great course and I’m looking forward to playing there again,” said Lee. “I’ve had a solid start to the year, the only thing that has been missing is a victory so I’m looking forward to seeing if I can get in the mix again on Sunday afternoon.”

The trio will join former World Number One and Major Champion Justin Rose in the field, as well as a host of DP World Tour stars including Ewen Ferguson, Robert MacIntyre, Victor Perez and defending champion Thorbjørn Olesen.

Olesen, a member of Europe’s victorious 2018 Ryder Cup side, won his sixth DP World Tour title at last year’s event, producing an incredible eagle-birdie finish to win by one stroke. He has since claimed a seventh DP World Tour crown, winning the Thailand Classic in February.

More than 50,000 spectators lined the fairways during last year’s Betfred British Masters, with a sold-out crowd of more than 15,000 fans witnessing Olesen’s thrilling finale on Sunday. Fans are urged to secure their tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. General Admission tickets, as well as Ticket+ and Premium Experiences options, can be purchased here.
