Roscommon’s Olivia Costello is the Scottish Girls Open champion after she cruised to a four-shot win thanks to a strong final round.
Costello posted all three rounds under-par including a final round of one-under 72 for a seven-under total which was good enough for a routine win as her challengers fell away.
Teeing off one shot back of overnight leader Zara Ali, the fourteen-year-old had a rollercoaster opening carding a bogey, birdie, double-bogey and a birdie in her opening four holes.
She steadied the ship with birdies on 7 and 10 before dropping successive shots on holes 11 and 12.
Costello took control of proceedings with yet another strong finish as she carded back-to-back birdies on 13 and 14 before closing with four successive pars to pull away from the field by four.
Woburn’s Roisin Scanlon shared 25th place on six-over after a final round 75.
Meanwhile in the Scottish Boys Championship Roganstown’s Sean Keeling will take a one stroke lead into the final round on six-under after a morning round of 67.
