Shane Lowry has been clipped into 25/1 from 33/1 with BoyleSports to get back to winning ways on the PGA Tour this week at the RBC Heritage in Florida.

The Offaly man enjoyed a solid Masters campaign at Augusta last week finishing 16th and tees off this week at a venue which has yielded three top-ten finishes in his last four appearances. Leading for much of the final round in last year’s event, a costly double-bogey at 14 put paid to Lowry’s chances, but punters fancy the world number 23 to make amends in this year’s staging.

Lowry’s next attempt to add to his major tally comes at next month’s PGA Championship at Oak Hill and he has shortened into 33/1 from 40/1 with BoyleSports to add a Wanamaker Trophy to the Claret Jug already in his cabinet, while support is also growing for another successful Open Championship at Royal Liverpool in July (25/1 from 33/1).

Waterford’s Seamus Power is also in the field at the RBC Heritage this week and while he made the cut at the Masters after back-to-back hole in ones saw him close out the Masters Eve Par-3 Contest, he is a 100/1 shot to bag a third PGA Tour victory.

At 9/1, Jon Rahm is only second favourite as he gets used to life in the green jacket, with World Number 2 Scottie Scheffler leading the betting at 8/1.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said:“Shane Lowry has very good form at Harbour Town – conditions could be right up his street and punters saw enough at the Masters to believe a return to the winners’ enclosure is imminent.”
