All LIV golfers projected outside top-50 in world rankings by end of year

According to Official World Ranking guru Nosferatu, all current LIV players are projected to drop outside the top-50 in the world by the end of 2023.

LIV players are currently banned from the PGA Tour while they are still eligible to compete on the DP World Tour – pending legal action. LIV golfers who are ranked inside the top-50 in the world or have major exemptions will tee it up in the four major championships this year.

If they don’t perform at this week’s Masters Tournament and/or in the other major championships this year then there could potentially be no LIV golfers ranked inside the top-50 in the world.

In February two-time major winner and former world number one Dustin Johnson dropped outside the top-50 in the world for the first time in 13 years.

Recently big names like Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau, Louis Oosthuizen – all outside the top-100 – and Patrick Reed have fallen outside the top-50 while Mito Pereira and Taylor Gooch have joined them in dropping out.

Open champion Cameron Smith remains the highest ranked LIV golfer at 5th in the world with Joaquin Riemann (26), Abraham Ancer (30), and Thomas Pieters (43) the only players from the Saudi backed tour inside the top-50 in the world.

Former European Ryder Cup heroes Ian Poulter, Sergio Garcia and Henrik Stenson are ranked outside the top-150 in the world while Lee Westwood is 281st.
