Lauren Walsh continued her fine form with a share of 14th place at the weather affected Valspar Augusta Invitational as Wake Forest secured a record-breaking fifth regular season team title.
Due to weather conditions the final round was cancelled meaning the tournament was reduced to 36 holes.
During the 2021-22 season Wake Forest won four regular-season titles, levelling the record of 2019-20.
Walsh, who scooped a player of the month gong, shot rounds of 73 and 72 for a one-over total, eleven strokes behind fellow Deac, Rachel Kuehn who won for the sixth time in her career.
Wake Forest were thirteen-under-par in total, eleven shots clear of local team Augusta.
“We had a wonderful spring break in Florida working on our game while having plenty of time for fun team activities. We topped it off with a team win in Augusta and an individual win for Rachel. What a spring break! We’re excited to get home and have a few weeks to prepare for ACCs and the rest of the postseason. Go Deacs!” said head coach Kim Lewellen
