Patrick Keeling won the third Toro Tour Winter Series event in San Roque as he eased to a five-shot win on a final day that was played in tough conditions.
The Roganstown ace was three-under-par and ten shots clear teeing off in the final round and a three-over 75 was enough to see him win at a canter from Naas man Robert Brazill in second place on five-over.
Keeling was the only player to manage parity in both the amateur and all class categories at level-par.
The brother of last week’s runner-up Sean, Keeling maintained his ten shot gap at the turn with birdies at the fifth and eight holes after two bogeys in his first three holes brought him back slightly.
With such a sizeable gap he could afford to drop three shots on the way home and still lift the trophy.
Irish international Brazill closed out with his best round of the week, a two-under 70 enough to take second, one shot ahead of James Meyer De Beck.
Portmarnock’s James Temple finished seventh overall and sixth in the amateur class on thirteen-over while Gweedore’s Padraig O’Dochartaigh was 9th in the amateur and 16th overall.
