Played at  Prestatyn, Wales the annual matches see Ireland pitted against Wales, England and The Netherlands in a series of match play encounters.
On day one Ireland accounted for the hosts by nine matches to three and on day two stormed to victory over the Dutch with a 10 – 2 margin.
The final day was poised perfectly in a showdown with England who had also notched up two wins.
England looked to be cruising in the morning session, taking the foursomes 3-1 leaving the Irish teenagers a massive challenge in the afternoon singles.

Taking 4.5 points from the top five matches helped Ireland to edge ahead and then wins from Patrick Callaghan and Jack Egan helped to seal a one point win over England and Ireland went one better from their 2016 runner up spot.

Josh Black and Odhran Maguire were two of Ireland’s most successful players on the final day as they teamed up to take the lone point in the foursomes before going on to win their singles. Well done to the Irish team.
